OspreyData Volunteer Event with Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, October 16, 2019 — On October 1, 2019, OspreyData held a Service Day where employees took part in a great volunteer opportunity to help a wonderful organization that is working to feed those who need help in our local Southern California communities.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County is located in Irvine, California and our team enjoyed visiting and being hard at work to help with the processing and sorting of groceries, produce, and more! With the help of supporters and volunteers, Second Harvest works through a network of more than 300 non-profit partner agencies and programs to provide wholesome food and fresh produce to more than 250,000 hungry children, seniors and families in Orange County every month. They provide meals for kids, groceries for seniors, and fresh food to families and individuals in need.

We sorted through a large amount of produce which came from local farms and sorted a huge amount of groceries donated from local grocery stores. Food is dispersed to the community in a timely manner, and Second Harvest strives to fight hunger in Orange County.

OspreyData thoroughly enjoyed the time to volunteer and give back to our local community in such a great and impactful way. We enjoyed a day of fun with each other, but also knowing that our busy hands were working hard to help others in need.

If you would like to donate to this organization, please visit their website (https://www.feedoc.org/donate-now/). Every $1 donated helps Second Harvest provide the equivalent of three meals for hungry children, seniors and families. Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) private nonprofit organization.
