A highly successful serial technology entrepreneur with 20+ years experience as a founder, CEO and chairman of early stage software companies. He has led many successful rounds of VC funding together with two IPOs. Stuart started his first company, SELECT Software Tools, in 1988 at the age of 26 and led the company to a successful IPO in 1996. Stuart founded DATAllegro in June 2003 and was CEO until acquisition by Microsoft when Stuart became GM of Microsoft’s $1B data warehousing product group with responsibility for strategy across Microsoft’s $7B Database Systems Group. He created Frost Data Capital with the vision to incubate startups that exploit new business opportunities in the explosive big data marketplace. To date, Stuart and Frost Data Capital have founded five big data companies: Predixion Software, Cirro, Jointly, Maana and SourceThought, and he has become Chairman of GenieDB. Stuart has a degree in Electronics Engineering from Nottingham University in England.
