Matthew joins OspreyData in 2021 as a Sales Engineer,
Mr. Wortmann began his career in Oil & Gas in 2001. From 2005 to 2013, he was employed with Chevron U.S.A in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. During his time with Chevron; he held various positions in Reservoir Engineering, Production Engineering, and Production Operations. In 2013, he transitioned from offshore operations to unconventional resources in Denver, CO, and has improved company-wide bottom line economics by focusing on surveillance, artificial lift design, reliability, and operations.
Since 2013, Matthew has held positions with NP Resources, Halcon Resources, and BP Lower 48 across North Dakota, Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming. During his time in the Rockies Matthew has worked with multiple forms of artificial lift including rod lift, ESP, plunger, and jet pump. He works with numerous operators establishing production surveillance systems and processes.
Mr. Wortmann is Owner/Principal at M&G Optimized Consulting and is currently employed with OspreyData where he has worked as a Subject Matter Expert on artificial lift and currently in sales.
Mr. Wortmann graduated from Louisiana State University in 2004 with a B.S. from the Craft and Hawkins Department of Petroleum Engineering.
